As from the educational point of view, if the stream of Candidate is in any technical subject, then Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engg are mostly desired.
What is the career path of ALP?: On the promotion of an "ALP", staff takes the charge of Sr. ALP. After the re-promotion, he is promoted to the post of loco pilot. Even if he wants to reinforce his career, he can go further by becoming successful in the departmental examination. Qualified Candidates can be posted to the job post of Controller (Power / Crew), Loco Foreman. For your information, let us know that loco foreman is also known as Loco supervisor.
What is the selection procedure of ALP recruitment?: Successful students in the departmental examination have a medical test. On getting fit in both the scales, they are given a post of an ALP.
