Almost all of you know almost know the workers who work on railway ticket counter and goods shade counter. They are no other but the official clerks more often known as commercial clerk. On the commercial clerk, the daily workload of Railway Department is entrusted. In their absence the Indian Railways Department will be jammed. Booking passengers tickets is considered as their main task. But apart from this, the commercial clerk has many other important functions. The way employees who work on the ticket counter of the station book tickets for passenger, in the same way, on the goods shade, the other class clerk carries out the freight train.

What is the seat-wise recruitment reference for Commercial Clerk job post?: Half of the total vacancy of the commercial clerk is recruited only by the examination conducted by RRB. For example, suppose that if the total number of vacancy is 1000 then the appointment is done for the total of 500 seats just via RRB examination. If any employee has performed more than 3 years of duty under "Traffic and Commercial Departments", then a total of one third of such employees will be appointed for the post of the commercial clerk. In exactly the same way, for around 17% of the Metric Pass Group D Employees, recruitment is done only on merit basis.
What is the eligibility criteria for CC recruitment?: It is mandatory for the post for applicants to have a working matriculation from the academic qualification work.
What is the career path of CC?: It will be very interesting to know that promotion of a commercial clerk can also be promoted for inspector or commercial post. After the promotion of a commercial clerk, senior and chief commercial clerk can also be formed. You will be known and excited that a commercial clerk can also become a station master by getting around 3 promotions.
What is the selection procedure of CC recruitment?: If you read carefully the Indian Railway's Manual, you will find that the commercial clerk is recruited under rule number 128. Students who successfully qualify in Indian RRB exam are selected for post of Commercial Clerk and sometimes there are also many other selection procedure such as quota, experienced candidates and on merit basis.
Is their any training curriculum of CC?: No, so far no provision of any training by RRB for these posts is prescribed.
What is the salary package of CC?: The fixed salary is Rs.5,200/- to Rs.20,200/-. Apart from that, Rs. 2000/- will be provided as grade pay.
What are the allowances provided to Commercial Clerk (CC)?: Transport and House rent allowances are provided.
